Matt: me vocally his best performance. He’s definitely more confident and I enjoyed it much. Just wow, goosebumps!!
Ahmet: His performance was very solid but he’s always good. I liked his energy onstage, the audience felt he was more confident.

Carl Espen might have just given his best performance so far. Big artists are made for big occasions and I think he's not being overwhelmed by the pressure. Great voice and beautiful staging of a song that has one of the best and most poignant lyrics of this year

Olivier: Time for big emotions with Carl Espen. “Silent Storm” gives me shivers every time it is performed by the Norwegian hunk. That is just beautiful and moving. The stage gives a poetic atmosphere to the act and the violinists are here for the feminine touch to the act. This could be the dark horse of this year’s contest I think. Strong reactions for Norway!
Stefan: The moment I’ve heard Silent Storm, I knew it will represent Norway at Eurovision. The thing I didn’t know is how Carl looks. Nobody could expect that someone like him could have a voice like that and to sing this kind of song. I just love the pian, violins and the flashes in arena. My biggest doubt for this guy is that he is performing too early and that people won’t like how he looks. If Icelandic performance was a bit more serious, they would also like Carl more.

Norway
Carl Espen on now for Norway with his hauntingly fragile ballad. Opening shot of the pianist lots of smoke on the stage sets the mood nicely, the vocals are so soulful and fragile which gives this its appeal. All the audience have lit up their mobile phones which looks amazing on camera shots. The vocals are the best of the week from Carl , really strong and good. This is going to score really well tonight with juries, Wow what a strong finish, really great. Possible 5-12th.
